It is my favorite time of year. We've not had a great Fall in NY in a few years. Lots of rain- the leaves have been washed off too soon. So this year I am trying to get my Fall fix the next two weekends in Amherst, MA at the little house we're fixing up. Fingers crossed, it's all golden and crisp. A feast for the eyes is Fall.
This looks like it could be the cover of a magazine! I like the peaceful yet enthusiastic expressions of the kids. The touch of Fall colors really add to the piece as well. Your tree totally reminds me of Maurice Noble's background work, especially the trunk and roots.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to get some Fall weather here in CA! Enjoy Amherst!
My WB are showing...sometimes that happens.;)
ReplyDeleteYou're so right, a sketch just crackles with life, as this one does.

ReplyDeleteMy favorite time of year as well! Your subdued palette works wonders to create a relaxed, lighthearted mood. I can practically smell the cider in the air!

ReplyDeleteI love the little girl! She's adorable! And the quote from Bronte - perfect.
