Priscilla ~ Back To School Apple


This sketch started out pretty standard.  Sweet and thoughtful little girl bringing a perfect red apple for her new teacher.  But, then her mom decided to step it up and get in good standing, right at the beginning of the new school year, by having her daughter bring in instead, a beautiful red candy apple!

Of course, I never did this.  =0)  But it actually doesn't sound too bad of an idea. . . .

    All the details are lovely: from the little girl's hair ribbon, jumper (with coordinating apple theme), to the teacher's expression, all really well done!

    And I love the idea of a candy apple... hmmm. May have to try that one with my kid's teachers! :)

    SO ADORABLE!! I love your work, Priscilla. This makes me excited to go back to my teaching gig @ preschool. It's meet the teacher this Friday. (I sure hope someone is as creative as you, and I get a tasty candy apple, or carmel apple - I'm not picky.) :)

    I packed up school supplies last night- school starts here 9/7. I will add a candy apple now! I luv the teacher's face! My daughter's school is now chalkless- :(- they hung Star boards over the chalkboards
