I first remember hearing Dr. King's speech when I was in 5th grade and the line that I can still hear him saying, "I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character."
That line rang through me like a bell and I have lived by it ever since.
Peace and love,
Heather
Love it, Heather!
ReplyDeleteGreat illustration and message, Heather! It looks like a piece for a kids' club or a magazine or something!
ReplyDeleteLove! And I agree with Joy, it looks like a kid's magazine piece. :)
ReplyDeleteI love how they are making something with their own hands- how you art has your hand so clearly in it and how making something together in a diverse group is a metaphor for how we should all try to live.
