Hibernate

I'm loving seeing how my friends sketch an interpretation of the word, "hibernate."
Here's mine:

It's a quick pencil sketch with digital color. Keep warm, everyone!

At first I drew a very cute, cozy bear cuddling with his blanket...then I thought, "That's not how I would hibernate!" So I started over and made this a bit more autobiographical. -Steve Bjorkman

Hibernating

We are having a hibernating kind of winter here in Michigan.  My favorite kind of hibernating - wearing comfy jammies, curling up under lots of blankets on the couch with my family and sharing a giant bowl of popcorn.

Kelly's favorite librarian did it again!  She always made sure the library was the best place ever to be most especially on cold and wintery days.

Returning Soon

 We are so excited to announce that the Sketchables will be returning soon!

We have a few new doodlers joining our ranks and can't wait to share our sketches with you again. 

Gone Fishin'

If you've noticed that things have been a little slow here on The Sketchables blog, well, you're not the only one. There have been a lot of changes for the five of us over the last few years, and life has grown bigger than any of us could have planned.

As a result, we're taking a group hiatus from posting. Some of us have book deals up to here, others are running crafty businesses, a few of us are juggling little ones at home with working on other projects, you get the idea. Basically, our energies are being diverted elsewhere.

Thank you all so much for your enthusiasm for our sketchy art. Thank you for the comments, the shared posts, the way you've cheered us on. We appreciate it so much, and hopefully, we'll be able to return to the blog one day and pick up where we've left off.
