A different perspective

These aren't new drawings, but something I remember changing specifically to a different perspective. The sketch on the left was the first version. I felt it was fun at first, but then wanted something more dynamic that wasn't just a side view. Is the sketch on the right better? I think so. What do you think?

I can't believe Halloween is almost here and gone. One of my favorite months and I wish I drew more Halloween themed things! Not to say I can't draw them whenever I want, hehee.

Piggie antics!

This was a sketch from THE PECULIAR PIG before it was acquired by Nancy Paulsen Books. The style of the pigs was a bit more "cartoony" and their antics where definitely more humorous, hehee.

Climate Strike- Sept 20-27

I'm re-posting this image because today is the Global Climate Strike #globalclimatestrike  Now is the time to take action on reducing our dependency on fossil fuels and stop letting the people who benefit the most from polluting our world abuse their power. What we do today affects our children's futures.

Piggy or kiddo?

Here is a little pirate piggy character I was going to use for a PB manuscript I'm working on. Feedback from a couple of publishers mentioned that they would prefer all of the characters to be kids instead of animals. So, there you go. Now I'm reworking my sketches to be a variety of diverse, cutie kiddos! I may share a sketch of the human version of this little swash buckler next week.

Bee Doodles at SCBWI Summer Conference!
