Ballet - Kelly is in fourth position





I took ballet for a year as a six year old. Grace, balance, long lines... let's just say, It wasn't my dance.
I was off to 7 years of tap instead. Banging out a beat was more my style but still.... I watched those girls with envy as they releve'd, jete'd ... and when they got their toe shoes - the whole dance school knew. It's a magical , mystical life - the life of a ballerina.

    Kelly, LOVE her attitude! and i LOVE how coming into one of your illustrations or sketches, i feel like i'm watching a movie or looking at an ad from the 50's. SUCH a treat!

    I agree with Jennifer. You're building up quite a collection here! Sassy would be a perfect fit in the licensing arena. She reminds me a little of Maxine-but more chic!

    Love the focus on her determined face!
